    Argh.
I seem to have picked up some adware somewhere, and nothing I have on my computer is getting rid of it. Can any of you guys recommend a good adware remover/blocker? I'm sick of seeing these damn pop-ups every two minutes or so. (Plus whatever is happening behind the scenes that I'm not seeing.)

Because I haven't seen it around the friendslist.
And because it is fifteen shades of awesome.

    Retail sucks.
It sucks to watch the chefs on Food Network making yummy Thanksgiving recipes while knowing that the only Thanksgiving dinner Jeff and I get this year is leftovers.

At this point, I'm just looking forward to the turkey pot pie on the weekend. Leftover turkey is not a problem in our house.

Here's a couple of fun ones.
How many DC Secret Identities can you name? They give you real names, you type in the hero names. 100 names in 15 minutes.

    And the same for Marvel.

I got 98 out of 100 on Marvel, and 99 out of 100 on DC.

    Hey NFL?
The Ravens are here to play football, not have a tea party. When you're ready for football, let us know.

Ah, the joys of bad translations. (Or just bad writing.)
Jeff's watching the Transformers Headmasters cartoon. As well as some odd music and odd voice casting, you get some truly bad lines.

A dormant volcano has started erupting. The Autobots are on their way, but not there yet. The villagers are fleeing, and one of them comes out with this one:

"Run! We must get away before the lava drowns us!"

Yes, drowning is the biggest threat from lava. Right.

Also, someone was not paying attention to the animation. A few times you've seen one of the combiners fighting alongside its component 'bots. Or at one point, a combiner riding inside one of its component 'bots.

    Head on! *snort*

It's not often I want to see a movie and Jeff doesn't. Usually it's the other way around. Then he'll either just go, or go with his brother. But when I want to see it and he doesn't, it's like pulling teeth.

He doesn't want to see the G.I. Joe movie. He thinks it's going to suck. He wants to wait a week, and get some opinions from friends at work. I showed him opinions of some of you guys. I told him this week will be better than next. It still took a while to talk him around to it. (And he's still going to nitpick the hell out of it.)

    I've got to get driving.

    Soapy ramblings.
I have a confession to make.

I have become addicted to LUSH.

I had seen people on my friendslist talking about their stuff for a while. They put a store in my area, and I tried to go take a look, but couldn't really get a feel for anything because the smell of the store overwhelmed me. Good smell, just waaaay too much of it. Then a few months later, a friend at work started talking about their stuff, and I figured it was worth another try.

So, I pored over the website and made a wishlist/plan of attack. Get in, get your stuff, and get out. Didn't quite work out, but it was still a fairly quick trip.

ZOMG SQUEEEEE!!!! (but now I have to sleep)
Just got home from seeing Transformers: Revenger of the Fallen. FREAKING AWESOME (*kaboom*) MOVIE!!! We got an Avatar: The Last Airbender teaser, too. I have a little more hope for it now.

Now I have to calm my brain down and go to sleep. I'm up past my bedtime. ;-)

All right, Joe Quesada is just messing with the fans at this point. (Or as Jeff declared, and is still muttering, "Quesada is an ASS!") We've long since stopped buying the Spider-Man books over the whole Brand New Day idiocy. But Spidey appears in New Avengers. Quote from this week's issue behind cut.

    Home again!
We're home safe from Atlanta. We've greeted the animals, gave Mom her souvenir (we bought her elephant fertilizer from the zoo!),and our bed is going to feel SO good tonight. I didn't sleep well all trip.

I'm trying to pack the last few things in the suitcase for our vacation to Atlanta, but there is a kitty in my suitcase. Stormy climbed right on in and curled up. It's like she's saying, "You're not going without me!"

I took a picture. I'll post it when I get back, along with the picture of Mollie's summer haircut.

    Aww. :-(
Wayne Allwine, the voice of Mickey Mouse, has died.

One interesting thing? He was married to Russi Taylor, who does the voice of Minnie Mouse.

    OMG SQUEEEE!!!
Real Disney animation is back! Real 2-d animation, with a fairy tale and music, and it's MY DISNEY BACK!!!

    The Princess and the Frog

    Can't wait until December!!!

Edit: Okay, not so excited about the music. It's not Alan Menken, who did music of The Little Mermaid. It's Randy Newman, who did the music of the Toy Story movies. And (at least in every song from his Disney movies that I've heard) sings through his nose. Blech.

Y'know, it sucks as a comics fan to realize that sometimes your favorite characters are better off in limbo.

    See also: Wolfsbane.

    Wolverine: Origins movie
I'll admit, I'm not holding out a whole lot of hope. I've seen characters in the previews who have no business being there. At this point, I am going mainly for one character, and one character alone:

    Gambit

    Finally! *fans self*
